What We Stand For
Cultivation comes first
At MindRise, we are a small team of applied mycologists exploring mushrooms through cultivation, ecological responsibility, and creative expression.
Everything begins with growing.
Mushrooms are grown year-round in controlled environments that allow precise monitoring of growing conditions while maintaining chemical-free cultivation methods.
Our farm operates using regenerative techniques influenced by permaculture principles: Earth care, People care, and Fair share.
Materials are reused where possible, and production is approached as a long-term system.
Small batches by design
We produce in deliberately limited quantities.
This is not a marketing decision. It is a biological and practical one.
Working in small batches allows close observation, consistency across harvests, and careful handling throughout processing.
Scaling production is approached cautiously and only when it can be achieved without compromising cultivation standards or product integrity.
Slow processing
Our extracts are produced using long maceration and dual extraction methods carried out over extended periods of time.
Each batch requires approximately eight weeks to complete.
This timeframe allows for a deeper, more complete extraction while avoiding reliance on high-intensity industrial processing techniques that prioritise speed and scaling methods.
Because we cultivate mushrooms continuously, we maintain a consistent and abundant harvest that allows us to dedicate substantial quantities of fruiting bodies to each extraction batch.
Circular systems
Our operations are supported by solar energy, reducing reliance on external power sources and lowering the environmental footprint of production.
Substrates are produced using recycled hardwood sawdust sourced from a local wood mill located less than 100 metres from our farm, reflecting a local-first approach and reducing transport impact.
After harvest, spent substrate is returned to the local community, where it supports gardens and small-scale growing projects, extending the life of the material beyond cultivation.
Cultivation and processing at MindRise are designed around resource continuity and waste reduction.
