We grow mushrooms the way we believe they should be grown: with intention, care, and as little reliance on industrial systems as possible.
Modern mushroom farms often depend on heavy machinery, high-energy consumption systems, and full automation, all of which come with a high impact on the ecosystem.
At MindRise, we strictly follow permaculture principles, we prioritize human-scale processes, low-energy techniques, and smart design over industrial shortcuts. We replace machines with people and choose methods that are simple, efficient, and regenerative. It may take more time or effort, but because it’s better for the planet and for the future we’re building everyday ; we will always stick to it.

Circular economy in action
At MindRise, we’re building a brand that gives back more than it takes. That’s why we operate on the principles of the circular economy — a system that aims to minimize waste, reuse resources, and close the loop.
The substrate we use to grow our mushrooms is made from recycled hardwood sawdust, collected just across the road from a local woodworking shop. Once the mushrooms are harvested, the leftover blocks — still rich in organic matter — are turned into highly nutritious compost for local gardeners and landscapers.
Nothing should be wasted. Everything feeds back into the system.
We see waste as a resource — and farming as an opportunity to regenerate, not deplete.
Locals matter
We choose to grow mushrooms right here in the heart of the Blue Mountains because we believe in the power of locals. Working within our community allows us to harvest fresh mushrooms and deliver them at peak quality.
At MindRise, we take the opposite path: local, fresh, low-impact. Supporting local food systems means better quality for you, a smaller carbon footprint for the planet, and more resilience for our region.

We respect nature
At MindRise, respecting nature is at the heart of everything we do.
Our cultivation practices are designed to use minimal energy and stay as close to nature as possible. Our entire production is 100% chemical-free — no sprays, no synthetic inputs, ever.
We grow in a climate-controlled environment, not to override nature, but to work in harmony with it. We do our best to optimize energy use, reduce waste and leave the least impact on our cherished Earth.
We run the farm on solar power and we are committed to continuously improving the sustainability of our systems.
